Dr. Tompros Nikos (Assistant Professor of "Political History", Hellenic Military Academy) was born in Patras in 1968. He graduated in 1992 from the History Department of the Ionian University. He holds a PhD (2001) with distinction in the field of Modern Greek History awarded from the same department. Between 2003-2012 he taught Greek History at the Hellenic Military Academy as hourly and contract (407/80) academic personnel.
In October 2012 he was elected Lecturer of "Political History" in the above mentioned Academy and in March 2019 Assistant Professor. He has also taught undergraduate courses in specialty departments of History, Archaeology and Cultural Resource Management and of Philology at the University of Peloponnese and department of Cultural Heritage Management and New Technologies at the University of Ioannina (located in Agrinio) and graduate courses in the graduate program "Historical Demography" of the Department of History of the Ionian University. His publications include monographs, textbooks, index archives, articles in foreign and Greek-language scientific journals, papers in national and international scientific conferences with referees. His research interests focus on political and social issues of Modern and Contemporary Greek History.
